We have funding from Bracknell Forest Council, and are working closely with Age Concern Bracknell Forest, Be Heard, Good Neighbours schemes, Faith Groups, Carers UK and rethink to provide a service that is needed across the borough.

Our services are not a core function of Bracknell Forest Voluntary Action. We receive grant funding from the Department of Health via Bracknell Forest Borough Council, to provide a service to Carers.
Our services are focused on 2 groups of Carers:
Young Carers i.e. those under the age of 18
Adult Carers, those over the age of 18 caring for someone who is also over the age of 18.

Many people are caring for an elderly relative, a sick friend or a disabled family member. They do it unpaid and often without support. Carers Northern Ireland is the voice of carers. We improve carers' lives by providing information and advice and by campaigning for change. We are part of Carers UK.

Carers Together has brought together its knowledge of caring in this web site. It is available for any carer in Hampshire including those living in cities, towns or rural communities.
It is for people - relatives, friends or neighbours - who are looking after or concerned about another person. This may be because they are old and frail, have a disability, have a long or short term health condition. It may be because they are isolated or struggling to cope.
People can share their concerns, link to other carers, find out what is available to support them, help them to find where to find support, and find out about the Hampshire Carers Network.

The Carers’ Resource is the local, specialist carers’ centre for the Harrogate, Craven, Airedale and Bradford districts of Yorkshire.

A carer is someone who, without payment, provides help and support to a friend, neighbour or relative who could not manage otherwise because of frailty, illness or disability. They may even be juggling paid work with caring responsibilities at home. Carers have a tough job – it can mean unrelenting pressure, little chance to relax and a lot of worry. The system is complicated, and the issue is hidden.

The Carers’ Resource provides support for carers, no matter what their age, race, religion or needs. Follow the links to discover what support we can offer you as a carer, or as someone who might work with carers.
