Andover & District Mencap is a charitable company and this body corporate holds the assets on behalf of its members. The members elect its trustees who, on their behalf, use volunteers and employees to deliver benefits in accordance with its Articles and Memorandum. Darlington Association on Disability was established in 1986 as a voluntary and charitable organisation led by disabled people. Dosh provides financial advocacy support and appointeeship to people with a learning disability.

Dosh helps people with a learning disability to be more independent and have more control over their own money. You may need someone to work closely with you to help manage your own benefits, help you with budgeting or check that your money is safe.

Dosh Financial Advocates are trained to help people make choices with their money. An advocate takes time to get to know you and works in partnership with your circle of support.

Dosh is set up as a not for profit company. This means that all money earned by the company is used to run the business and provide good quality financial support to people with a learning disability.
