Amberwood is a satellite unit to Hill House, set up in order to extend our provision beyond school age. We offer expert care and encouragement in lifelong learning for our students. Emphasis is on developing life, vocational and intellectual skills that will support a successful transition into adult life.

ESPA College provides education for young people between the ages of 16 and 25 with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The college has been open since 1995 and currently provides programmes of study for over 100 students.
ESPA has a wide range of residential services in Sunderland and Durham for people with an autism spectrum disorder. Each service is unique and individually tailored to meet the needs, wishes and expectations of the individuals living there. These services range from single person apartments to shared living arrangements.

The Croft Centre is a creative and innovative community service providing person centred programmes of activities for people with an autism spectrum disorder.

Our purpose is to help disabled people achieve and retain employment of more than 16 hrs per week, and all programmes are focused on and justified by that aim.

We are located on a pleasant and quiet 13.5 acre site 6 miles from the centre of Durham City, and have been working with disabled adults since 1943, when the College was established as a rehabilitation centre for disabled ex-servicemen. Our trainees come from all parts of England, Scotland and Wales because local provision does not meet their particular needs.
