The foundations of mohdoh were set some 30 years ago when Simon's mother would add a lavender essence to his modelling clay to help calm him down (Simon was an extremely hyperactive child and not much has changed as an adult!)

Welcome to the website of the Aromatherapy Council. We have been through several metamorphoses over the last 6 years, and have even established ourselves as the regulatory body for aromatherapy, but due to changes in the needs of regulation we have now reverted back to being the Lead or Governing Body for the UK aromatherapy profession.
Aromatherapy is the systematic use of essential oils in holistic treatments to improve physical and emotional well-being. Essential oils, extracted from plants, possess distinctive therapeutic properties, which can be utilised to improve health and prevent disease.
