Organisations and businesses are working towards improving access in the Broads, to help as many people as possible experience its special magic.
There are increasing opportunities for getting on the water, with wheelchair accessible boats and some places with facilities to help people with visual or hearing impairments.
Boardwalks, suitable for wheelchair users, are the only way to visit the mysterious and swampy carr woodlands around many of the broads.
The Easier Access leaflet will tell you more.
For further details and more information about other places to visit and their facilities, please contact the Broads Information Centres. All have wheelchair access and induction loop systems, but wheelchair access is very limited at Potter Heigham and Toad Hole Cottage. Centres are open from Easter or 1 April (whichever is earlier) to 31 October daily.
